WHAT YOU NEED FOR CLASS

Students are required to wear appropriate dance clothing and shoes for varying disciplines. All clothing that is worn in class must allow the instructor to clearly view the dancer’s body. Please make sure hair is pulled back neatly off the face. NO JEWELERY OR WATCHES are allowed in the studio. Street clothes are not acceptable. No jeans please. It is the responsibility of the student and parent to make sure they have appropriate clothing and shoes for dance class.

ATJ’s Little Stars Academy | Ages 2.5-3:
Ballet/Creative Movement/Tap – tap shoes, leather ballet shoes, body suit, pale pink tights
Optional: skirt, leg warmers, ballet sweater
Musical Theatre/Jazz/Tap/Ballet – tap shoes, leather ballet shoes, body suit, pale pink tights
Optional: skirt, leg warmers, ballet sweater, jazz shoes

Ages 4-5:
Tap/Jazz/Ballet/Hip Hop – tap shoes, leather ballet shoes, body suit, pale pink tights
Optional: skirt, leg warmers, ballet sweater, tan jazz shoes

Ages 6-7:
Ballet/Hip Hop – leather ballet shoes, body suit, pale pink tights, clean sneakers
Optional: skirt, leg warmers, ballet sweater, hip hop attire to be worn over body suit
Musical Theatre/Jazz/Tap – tap shoes, tan jazz shoes, dancewear

Ages 7-9:
Hip Hop/Jazz/Musical Theatre – tan jazz shoes, dancewear, clean sneakers
Ballet – body suit, pale pink tights, leather ballet shoes
Optional: skirt, leg warmers, ballet sweater
Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop – tan jazz shoes, tap shoes, clean sneakers, dancewear

Ages 9+:
Breakdance – comfortable clothing, knee pads, clean sneakers, tuque
Jazz – tan jazz shoes, dancewear
Hip Hop – clean sneakers, comfortable clothing
Tap – tap shoes, dancewear
Ballet – leather or canvas ballet shoes, pale pink tights, black body suit Optional: skirt, leg warmers, ballet sweater
Lyrical – Foot thongs or Bare Paws, dancewear
