Dakota Hodgson

Dance Instructor

Dakota fell in love with dance the moment she took her first class! She started dancing competitively at ATJ when she was ten years old and has been involved with competitive dance as both dancer and choreographer ever since! Her passion is for creating routines that are a joy to perform and working with teams to bring out the best in each dancer.

As a dancer, she was a recipient of a multitude of scholarships at conventions both locally and in the U.S. throughout her childhood and high school dance career.

At University she was an executive member and choreographer of her competitive team at Western University. Since graduating from university, she continues to be a guest choreographer for Brock Badgers Dance Pak, the Brock University dance team. Her choreography has won many judges’ choice and choreography awards consistently over the years.

As a teacher, she excels at building a positive and constructive dance environment where students can build confidence, work ethic and cooperative soft skills while doing what they love! She is thrilled to be teaching at the local studio she first started dancing at and can’t wait to get to know all the students and families that choose ATJ!
