Miss Kiana’s Bio

Born and raised in Waterloo Ontario, Kiana began dancing at the age of two and competing at the age of four.  She has won countless awards in every discipline.  Throughout her career, she has studied many forms of dance including Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Lyrical.  Kiana continues to take master classes and workshops to enhance her pedagogic pursuit.  She continues to create overall achievements and top marks for her choreography in every discipline.

Throughout elementary and high-school, Kiana trained approximately 20 hours per week and taught and choreographed for both recreational and competitive students another 15 hours per week.  While doing this; she successfully completed her Advanced 1 RAD ballet certification and maintained an honour roll status academically.

Kiana has had the privilege of assisting with industry leaders such as Jay T Schramek, Andrew Prashad, Kerry Gage, Marinda Davis, Kimberly Kay, Kathryn Kuwabara, Kristy Bagetta, David Cox and Gerard McIsaac.  She is a member of the Adjudicator’s Alliance and is a brand ambassador for Canada’s only provider of Miller and Ben tap shoes.

In addition to teaching and choreographing, she loves to perform and was part of the ensemble in Footloose at Centre in the Square for KWMP.

Kiana recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and Nipissing University receiving an Honours Bachelor and an Honours Bachelor of Education.  Her studies have enhanced her ability to communicate and positively encourage and evaluate children of all ages.

Kiana is a dedicated, hard-working and passionate individual who truly loves to watch the dancers under her tutelage grow and improve.

She is both excited and proud to share her passion for the Arts and to be a part of the faculty at All that Jazz Dance Company.  She looks forward to working with both students and parents as a whole.
